A thick yarn or one made up

Hand knotted wool rugs have been an integral part of our homes for centuries if not longer. The art of rug making is an ancient craft that is lost in history. Today they are just as desirable and in demand as has ever been the case. When we consider the advantages of woollen rugs over other styles it is no surprise to find that their popularity has not waned.

So what exactly has drawn so many people to choosing a wool rug for their homes? To start with there is the environmental angle. All woollen rugs are made out of natural animal fibres; this is far better for the environment than choosing synthetic fabrics such as acrylic and polyester.

Then there is the safety aspect. A hand knotted woollen rug is extremely fire resistant. Even if placed next to an open fire, it will not catch ablaze should a spark fly out. This would not be the case with a rug made form a synthetic fibre, these can all too easily burn and melt and cause fire to spread to neighbouring furnishings.

A woollen rug is also an excellent choice if you have young children or pets. They have a natural property that allows it to repel water and liquids just like sheep can keep dry from the rain through their wool. You can have security of mind that should you inadvertently spill a drink on your woollen rug the liquids can easily be cleaned away as they do not soak in to the actual wool, they cling to the surface of the fibres.

Another great aspect about woollen rugs is the fact that they can be easily dyed. Wool is not too difficult to color as it absorbs dyes with great effect. Also once the colors have become fast they do not fade or run easily.

Wool has many properties that point to it as being an excellent choice for rugs and carpets. It is available in various grades, for example you could choose a rug with a thick Twisting Yarn or one made up of light and delicate strands. Another great quality is that most wool is springy and elastic, it wears well. Every step and indentation that is made on a woollen rug will be quick to disappear. They do not lose their original shape quickly unlike other types of carpeting. Woollen rugs are a great choice for areas that get a lot of traffic. They can look as attractive as the day they were bought even after many years have passed.

All woollen rugs are able to resist dirt and dust with ease. They would not need to be cleaned as often as a synthetic version. In addition, it is rare for static to build up in wool so you do not have to worry about electrical discharges occurring now and then.

Before choosing a hand knotted wool rug for your home check out as many different designs and sizes as feasible. The more options you consider the better chance there would be of finding a great deal on the perfect piece.

Fabric and yarn exports

According to U.S. statistics, in 2001 and 2002, China’s textile exports to the United States was 9.517 billion U.S. dollars and 10.931 billion U.S. dollars, in the U.S. share of total textile imports were 12.66% and 14.29%. 1 to 4 months of this year, China’s textile exports to the United States reached 4.279 billion U.S. dollars, total U.S. textile imports accounting for 16.34%, compared to last year, I textile exports to the U.S. increased 47.86 percent.China’s textile imports from the United States was relatively small. 2001 and 2002, the U.S. textile exports were to me 136 million dollars and 171 million U.S. dollars, in the United States over the same period the proportion of the total textile exports were only 0.81% and 1.07%. 1 April 2003, U.S. textile exports to me, 64 million U.S. dollars, accounting for only 1.22% of its total exports. China’s textile trade with the United States there was a huge trade surplus (see Table 5)

Sino-US textile trade structures of different

I mainly textile exports to apparel, accessories second, less fabric and Air Textured Yarn. 2001 and 2002, apparel exports to the United States I, respectively, 6.692 billion U.S. dollars and 7.478 billion U.S. dollars, in my U.S. share of total textile exports were 70.31% and 68.41%. 1 April 2003, China’s apparel exports to the U.S. 2.802 billion U.S. dollars, in my total U.S. textile exports accounted for 65.48%. I apparel exports to the U.S. the rise in absolute terms, but in my textile exports to the United States the proportion of the total decline. I am second only to clothing apparel exports to the U.S.. 2001 and 2002, apparel exports to the U.S. I was 2.448 billion U.S. dollars and 2.914 billion U.S. dollars, in my textile exports to the United States the proportion of the total were 25.72% and 26.65%. 1 April 2003, I apparel exports to the U.S. 1.28 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for textile exports to the U.S. of the total 29.91%. Over the same period, I fabric and yarn exports to the U.S. were 1.79 million and 17 million U.S. dollars, in my textile exports to the United States the proportion of the total were only 4.18% and 0.39% (see Table 6)U.S. imports of textiles from China are mainly fabric. 2001 and 2002, China imported fabrics from the United States were 77 million U.S. dollars and 1.29 billion U.S. dollars, in my total textile imports accounted for 56.61% and 75.43%. 1 April 2003, I have imported fabrics from the United States 49 million U.S. dollars, accounting for 76.5% of total textile imports (see Table 7).

Market performance of Chinese textiles in the U.S.

1. China’s textile, garment, “affordable.” From the product quality point of view, China’s textile after 20 years of upgrades, in dyeing, processing and cutting so much higher level, and relatively cost competitive.

2. the U.S. businessmen that China’s textile, clothing quality is not stable enough. On the commission Chinese factories for processing products such as Client stare a tight grip, quality can be done well, a little loose, is difficult to guarantee quality.

3. distribution of American goods merchants complained that they had been from China and other Asian countries and Central and South America cargo impact, and management of Chinese goods merchant use of our business units and scattered over the situation, my crazy driving down prices and taste the sweetness .

Sino-US textile trade issues

1. after the elimination of quotas has brought some passive low-cost competition. In early 2002, the United States lifted some import quotas for Chinese textiles. Passive quota abolition of the one hand, is conducive to China’s expansion of textile exports, on the other hand resulted in low-cost competition. There are two main reasons: First, the cost of American use of my quota-free me keep the prices down, will I pay for the cost of quotas to American profit; Second, after the quota removal, the corresponding increase in our export business, export price bidding, the United States Business is opportunity to bargain.

2. I textile exports to the U.S. face external competition pressure. This pressure comes from the following five levels: (1) a large number of textile manufacturing supplier. U.S. textile market is substantial, but total capacity is limited. To expand our exports to the U.S., it must squeeze his country’s market share. (2) Japan, EU and other developed countries. These countries with high levels of textile techniques and to hold the world’s designer clothes sales, our own brand of apparel exports in the short term is difficult to breakthrough. (3) the Multi-Fibre Agreement State. These countries and regions and China, the United States in the abolition of some of my passive quota, but also to give these countries the same treatment. Thus, the passive quota of some Chinese textile exports to the U.S. after the abolition of the competitive pressures faced by these countries. (4) in the Caribbean. According to the United States Trade and Development Act (TheTradeandDevelopmentAct), the United States and Caribbean countries will strengthen economic and trade cooperation, these countries and regions with lower wages and quota-free apparel exports to the U.S., coupled with its transport costs for exports, which have strong competitive advantage. (5) North American Free Trade Area. In the NAFTA agreement, Mexico textile garment exports to the U.S. can enjoy duty-and quota concessions with the United States geographically adjacent, competitive advantage is obvious.

3. the U.S. trade restrictions on Chinese textile imports. According to the United States, “World News” report, the American Textile Manufacturers Association, the American Fiber Manufacturers Association, the American Cotton Association, the six trade associations that seek to restrict including padded gown, bra, hosiery and other specific products imported from China. American Textile Manufacturers Institute, said the initial objective was to persuade the U.S. government against Chinese textile products to implement special protective measures for early and effectively ease the wave of Chinese exports. It is worth noting that this limitation of the United States is likely to expand in China textile exports to the U.S. other spillover effects.4, the lack of its own brand. I mostly clothing exports to the U.S. foreign commission processing, and its own brand clothing exports very little. In the long run, this will seriously affect China’s textile exports.

Wrap a piece of ribbon or yarn

You’ll need just a few things to make just about any mask you can imagine. Those items include balloons, newspaper, wallpaper glue and some acrylic paint. A pair of sharp scissors comes in handy to cut out eyes and mouth. Wear old clothing, or put an apron on both you and your child. Making the mask can get a bit messy.

Cover your work area in plenty of newspaper to protect it from glue and paint. Next, cut several newspapers into strips. Blow up a balloon so it is slightly larger than your child’s head. Now dip a newspaper strip completely in the glue and stick it on the balloon. Continue doing this back and forth until you have the entire balloon covered in several layers of newspaper. Work out any wrinkles as you go along. The more layers of newspaper you have, the sturdier the mask will be.

Finally add any features specific to the mask you are making. For example, if you are making a frog mask, sculpt two ball shapes at the top of the mask that you can later paint as eyes. If you are making a cat, dog, or monkey mask, form the snout and of Carpet Yarn course don’t forget about ears. The only limit is your imagination.

Allow the mask to dry completely, preferably over night. Once it is completely hardened, start cutting into the mask to pop the balloon. Cut a large enough opening so your child can get his or her head inside the mask, then cut eye and mouth openings. For younger children, you may prefer to cut the back of the mask out completely, and, instead, wrap a piece of ribbon or yarn around the back of the head to secure the mask to allow better air-passage.

Paint the mask in a solid color and allow it to dry completely. Then add details like eyes, nose and lips in different colors. Once that coat of paint is completely dry, it is ready to wear. For a longer lasting and shiny mask, cover the mask in several layers of hodge podge before using it.

Make your last yarn over

The colorful styles of today combined with the easy accessibility of all sorts of beads makes it natural to want to add lots of beading to any crochet project. Even though the finished crochet product might have intricate designs, the process of adding the beads is actually simple. Just remember when you choose the materials for your project that the beads have to fit on the thread or yarn that you will be using so make sure the hole in the bead is the right size.

Beads have many crochet application, but some beads are not suited for baby garments. As you know, if it’s loose, it goes into the mouth and baby fingers can work loose many stitches. With that warning being issued, we’re on our way. Decide where you want your beads to go and about how many you’ll need. Just place the necessary beads onto the Twisting Yarn or thread in the reverse order that you’ll need them and you’re ready to crochet beads onto any project.

Feed the bead up the hook when you’re at the stitch where you want the bead. Set the bead in its place just before you make your last yarn over. The last part of the stitch locks it down. This method can be used to scatter clear, shiny beads randomly across the front of a sweater or to crochet beads of the same color around the collar of an evening top. You can crochet beads of a contrasting color onto a lace motif to accent the fancy design.

If you prefer sewing on the beads, make sure that you use the same crochet thread so that the stitches don’t stand out from the rest. The embroidery half-cross stitch can be used to fasten beads to an area that’s very tightly crocheted. Open, lacy work calls for you to crochet beads on. Small seed beads go well with the multi-colored thread of an embroidery project. Adding beauty to an embroidery piece with dew in the form of beads on embroidered flowers is a great idea. If you embroider animals or birds, then beads make the perfect eyes for those creatures.

To add a fringe of beads while you are crocheting, use the first method. Feed the beads onto the yarn or thread before beginning the project. As you come to the fringe stitch, feed the beads you will need up to the hook. By making a chain the same length of the fringe, and including a bead in each chain stitch, you’ll make your work a little easier. These methods all help you to make your crochet work easier and more beautiful.
